Nisha Bansil received a BFA in Printmaking from the State University of New York, New Paltz in 2001. Since then, she was the Assistant Curator of Exhibitions at the Fenimore Art Museum.

Bansil has since established a studio in New York where she develops her own artistic practice and works on freelance exhibition projects.

She has been an Artist in Residence at The Corning Museum of Glass, Bullseye Projects Mamaroneck, and the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio, in Norfolk VA.  Later this year she will preform a sound glass piece at Corning's 2300 degrees performance series.
